I organize the marshaling for a running event, and there is some information that the marshals need to have at hand in the event of an emergency. They also need to be able to use a walkie-talkie, and to note runners passing them on a clipboard. It seems that the marshals just don’t have enough hands! I had a think about this and realised that, since the information needs to be available, but they won’t need it all of the time, they could attach it to a lanyard around their neck.
I had a look around, and found these guys: http://www.compucardinc.com/specialty-neck-lanyards.html I realized that the lanyard with the two bulldog clips would be ideal! The marshals would be changing throughout the day, so I bit the bullet and ordered 100 of them. The payment processed quickly, and the package arrived in a short while. The running event went without a hitch, and the marshals had the information to hand at all times. I’d definitely recommend this product if you need to keep something to hand while you’re working. In my case, it was some documents, but it would work for ID cards or anything.
