The Washington Humane Society will kick off its annual Fashion for Paws fundraising blitz on Monday. Although a launch event slated for the Jefferson Hotel is closed to the public, the Humane Society says all metro Washingtonians can chip in by eating dessert. Idaho filmmaker Gregory Bayne (JENS PULVER | DRIVEN) is bringing the story of Kirk Noble Bloodsworth, the first death row inmate to be exonerated by DNA evidence in the US, to the screen and he’s inviting you to be part of the production. The Washington Post reports that the Boise filmmaker recently launched a fundraising campaign online.
